Fakro 66892 LWT Thermo Wood Attic Ladders  25" x 47" Opening | 8'11" Ceiling Heights |"SUPER Insulated" | 300 lb Capacity

The LWT is a super thermal insulated attic ladder that is made of wood and folds in three sections. The perimeter of the frame is lined with a triple seal system and the lid is double sandwich-insulated for higher energy efficiency.

    Great Ladder

Posted by JR on Mar 9th 2021

I bought this ladder after seeing poor reviews for other brands and wanting something well insulated. This ladder arrived in perfect condition and well packaged. The instructions (which I read online before hand and watch the video for) were super easy to follow. It installed without a hitch, just a few shims (not included) required to fit perfectly. A few things to be aware of. The actual dimensions of the ladder are 24.5" x 46.5", essentially a half inch short each way. This is totally fine though, and you should make your hold 25"x47" or maybe even a little bigger, then use shims to install. Second, Fakro sells a separate installation kit for ~$40 that I definitely recommend buying. It holds the ladder up by the corners with adjustable threaded rods until you can nail/screw it to the joists. Be careful though, those rods stick up in your way and drew more than a little blood during install! Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!
